from Dr Puvanachandra (UK Member of International Medical Committee Prashanti
Nilayam responsible for organizing Rota for the UK)
Dear
Brothers and Sisters,
Sairam!
Our
Beloved Bhagawan has blessed the Physicians from overseas with an opportunity
to provide medical services on a continuous basis at the Sri Sathya Sai General
Hospital (SSSGH) in Prashanti Nilayam. We will make this offering of love at
the Divine Lotus Feet of our dearest Lord Sai. We will provide the best
medical care with reverence and humility.
Rota Period
We will
serve from June to March every year except for the months of March April
and May.
Minimum period of service will be for 2 weeks at a time, namely 1st
to 15th or 15th to the end of the month.
Specialties Required
The
emphasis is on providing primary care. At present we
require GPs, General Physicians, Pediatricians and those in training with at
least three years post basic qualification. A
special Rota is arranged for Anesthetists and ENT specialists.
Those
who have just qualified as doctors will find it difficult to manage the OPD at
the General Hospital.

·
Those doctors who have qualified in India
and have the registration with the Indian Medical council and also still have
Indian citizenship, do not need the IMC

Other
Guidelines
I note
below additional guidelines:
·
Each doctor will work as part of and along with the staff of
the SSSGH and will be governed by the rules and regulations of SSSGH.
·
All doctors are subject to the credentialing and selection
process under the guidelines of the International Medical Committee- Prashanti
Council.
·
During each rotation two to four physicians will be working
at a time at the hospital.
·
For effective communication with the patients knowledge of
English is essential. It is advantageous to know Telugu because the local
language spoken by most of the patients is Telugu.
If you
